The International Iron Metallics Association (IIMA) was established by the HBI Association (HBIA) and the International Pig Iron Association (IPIA) to provide a unified voice for the ore-based metallics industry, which includes companies involved in or related to the production and sales of direct reduced iron (DRI), hot briquetted iron (HBI), pig iron, and iron nuggets; i.e., all metallic input materials for steelmaking and ironcasting derived from iron ore. A guiding principle of the IIMA is to carry out any and all lawful activities in connection with or incidental to accomplishing the following purposes:
Neither IIMA nor any Member may engage in any activity that contravenes anti-trust, cartel or restrictive trade practices legislation in the UK or in any other applicable country’s jurisdiction. The IIMA is governed by a Board of Directors through an Executive Committee.
